You are not a failure, just because other people didn’t see the talent & genius in you:
Walt Disney: He was fired from the Kansas City Star in 1919 because he was told by his editor that , he “lacked imagination and had no good ideas.”
Jack Ma(I can relate with this guy): If you ever wanted to give up, remember this dude. He applied to Harvard an amazing 10x and got rejected all those times. He had also applied for 30 jobs in his home town, got rejected by all 30. He was even rejected by KFC with 23 people applying and only him not getting the job. He tried to get to the police force, 4 out 5 applicants have been accepted, but not Ma. Ma and his cousin once queued more than two hours for an interview to be a waiter in a four star hotel, despite the lower score of his cousin, he got in but Ma was rejected, again. Now he’s the richest man in China.
Van Gogh: Many people often criticized Van Gogh’s paintings as being too dark and lacking of the bright liveliness seen in Impressionist paintings of the time. Guess who's paintings are hanging in the most famous museums of the world and are unaffordable to "normal" people.
Colonel Harland Sanders: The founder of Kentucky Fried Chicken, was fired from a variety of jobs before he started his chicken business. He was working on his chicken recipes for years, got rejected over 1000x before his chicken finally got popular.
Ferruccio Lamborghini: Ferruccio was born as a farmer and was a tractor builder. He then went to Enzo Ferrari to make suggestion to improve his sports car, but was rejected by Enzo Ferrari for his ideas. Lamborghini turned Ferrari’s rejections as his driving force to start work on his own type of sports cars.
Steve Jobs was fired from the company he created when he was in his 30s. He said in a speech before “I was out- and very publicly out”, “What had been the focus of my entire adult life was gone, and it was devastating.” We all know how this ended and the empire he has created and left behind.
Oprah Winfrey was 30 when she started to bloom and her success came.
There are so many more stories out there, but they all have one common denominator: They didn't give up and succeeded against all odds.
